CNCI Achievers Awards 2010
The Ceylon National Chamber of Industries (CNCI) rewards and encourages Sri Lankan industrial and manufacturing institutions for their contribution to the economy with their CNCI Achiever Awards which has been held consistently for the last 9 years.
The objective of the event is to promote industrial growth in the country by recognizing those entrepreneurs especially those who have excelled in the industrial sector and to enhance the quality standards, productivity, employee benefits, labour relations, etc.
The candidates are evaluated by an independent panel of judges appointed by the Chamber and comprising of eminent personalities representing the private and public sector.
Awards Criteria
Winners are selected in five categories viz: Extra Large,Large, Medium, Small and Micro, and the participants could vie for honours at provincial level as well as National Level.
Each category will be awarded Gold, Silver, Bronze trophies and two merit plaques. This year too it is envisaged to offer Crystal awards for those companies who have achieved gold award for 3 consecutive years.
The Event Criteria
The Achievers Awards are granted by the Judging Panel after careful evaluation of the following criteria;
* Net Sales Revenue
* Value Addition
* Productivity
* Employment Statistics
* Cost of incentives to Employees
* Statutory and other responsibilities
* Corporate Plan
* Research and Development
* Quality Assurance and Certification
* Environmental Responsibilities
* Social Responsibilities
* Industrial and occupational Health & Safety
Sri Lankan Award Categories
For all categories- Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small and Micro. For each category there will be a Gold, Silver, Bronze and two Merit Awards.
Provincial Award- Four Categories- Large, Medium, Small and Micro .For each category there will be a Gold, Silver, Bronze and two Merit Awards.
Outstanding application for the “Provincial Award” will also be considered for the “Sri Lanka National Award”.
SAARC Country Categories
A special feature of the awards scheme is to recognize the local industrialists who have set up manufacturing units in the SAARC Region by their own or as joint venture where the local investment is over 50%.
Further, we also offer each SAARC Regional country chamber to nominate an outstanding industrialist for recognition in order to enhance co-operation and strengthen the Chamber relationship.
The following SAARC Countries are expected to participate at the CNCI Achiever Awards 2010.
“India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives”
During the year 2009 the Sri Lankan Industrialists representing in the following Countries received Gold Awards;

THE GRAND AWARDING CEREMONY
This prestigious, the “9th Achiever of Industrial Excellence” Award Ceremony will be held on 1st of September 2010 at the Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel. It will be attended by our members who are frontline industrialists in the country, prominent members of the Sri Lankan business community, Award winners, representatives from SAARC Regional countries, members of the Diplomatic corps, relevant Government Ministers and Officials. It is anticipated that the Chief Guest this year will be the Hon. Prime Minister or one of the Senior Cabinet Ministers in the Government.
The Award Ceremony will be followed by cocktails and dinner.
